Passengers arriving from Brazil and the rest of South America, Central America, and Africa are required to have Yellow Fever (YF) Vaccination, even if not visiting YF specific sites, as advised by the Philippine Quarantine.
A passenger must show a copy of International Certificate of Vaccination to prove that he/she has received YF Vaccine. The vaccine is good for 10 years and costs Php 1,000 at the Bureau of Quarantine.
A passenger who claims that he/she is allergic to YF Vaccine must hold a Certificate of Waiver issued accordance with the International Health Regulation. The Bureau of Quarantine will first do a skin test check if there is any reaction. If no reaction, a person can then have the vaccine; if there is a reaction, a Certificate of Waiver will be issued. The Certificate of Waiver costs P200 and is accepted in lieu of the International Certificate of Vaccination.
Passengers who are not injected with YF vaccine are advised to take necessary precaution when travelling to YF specific sites by wearing long sleeves, sleeping under a mosquito net, and applying mosquito repellant cream/lotion.
Some areas of Brazil are known to have yellow fever. As a precautionary measure, we recommend that passengers get their yellow fever vaccination prior to their trip to Brazil.
Concurrently, the Philippine and Singapore governments require all passengers from 1 year old onwards, arriving from Brazil to present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate upon arrival. Passengers are advised to have the vaccine here in the Philippines as they may have difficulty finding an agency to administer the vaccine in Brazil. The vaccine should be
administered at least 10days before departure.
The sole agency authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) to administer the Yellow Fever Vaccine is the Bureau of Quarantine in Manila
25th Corner Delgado Street, Port Area, Manila
(Located behind the Manila Hotel, before WGA Super Ferry)
They administer the vaccine on the following schedules:
Mondays thru Fridays, from 8:00 – 11:00am and 1:00 – 3:00pm;
On Saturdays from 8:00 – 10:00am only
Contact numbers: 63 2 3019107 / 301-9101 / 527-4678

Passengers should check on the entry requirements of the countries they wish to visit after Brazil and ensure that the entry requirements are satisfied as they may encounter inconvenience and may be denied carriage if there requirements, such as having a valid International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis for Yellow Fever, are not met.
Please be guided accordingly. Thank you.
